The house was listed on the local MLS:
3 bedroom, 2 bath house, built in 1969, on a canal leading to the lake, accessible with a shallow boat. Cute, in need of a little TLC, Lots of potential. A steal at a mere $39,900.
Cute...? In need of a little TLC...!? Lots of potential....??. Uhhhhh, not to sure about that....but....then again.....it could mean good upfront equity. It sounded cheap to me!
I kept pouring over the web pics showing the outside and various rooms. The interior color was truly AWFUL. Nearly all of it was painted a purpley-mauve color that only an aging hippy flower child of the 60’s could love (you gotta be over 45 to appreciate the significance!).
It helps to be able to look beyond the icky color! Good bones, bad color!
What intrigued me the most was the building itself, that it was round. Circular. Different. Unique. Uh...Cute?
I looked it up on Google Maps. Not very flattering given the picture was taken in the dead of winter. Everything looked DEAD and unappealing!
